This villa is a seventeenth century house which used to belong to the Buonvisi family, the most influential of the aristocratic republic of Lucca. After the downfall of the Buonvisis the villa and the surrounding land were bought by the Bernardinis who had a property next door. They assigned the house to the farm manager who lived there until a few years ago when the restoration work was started.

The rooms are spacious and high-ceilinged and have been refurbished recently to a high standard.

The villa has a garden with a swimming pool and is surrounded by olive groves, vineyard and fruit trees, with beautiful views of the plain below. It is situated two kilometers from the small village of Segromigno Monte, 13 kilometers from the center of Lucca and half and hour by car from the beaches of Forte dei Marmi. There is a tennis court on the state.
